Biography
Yang joined the Department of Gerontology at Southampton in 2022. He was formerly a Senior Researcher funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation at the Swiss Centre of Expertise in Life Course Research LIVES, University of Lausanne, Switzerland. Prior to that, Yang was at the Center for Social and Demographic Research on Aging, Gerontology Institute, University of Massachusetts, USA. Yang holds a PhD and an MS in Gerontology (University of Massachusetts), an MA in Economics (Boston University), and a BA in Economics (New York University). He previously worked in business and economic development in San Diego, California, where he also obtained a Doctorate in Business Administration. Yang is interested in innovative research and teaching focused on ageing and inequality.
