About
Dr. Qin Zhou is a Lecturer (Tenured Assistant Professor) with the Department of Decision Analytics and Risk at Southampton Business School, University of Southampton, UK. She joined Southampton Business School in December 2022. She obtained her Ph.D. in Engineering from the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, in 2023. Prior to that, she obtained her bachelor’s degree in management from Southwest Jiaotong University, China, in 2015. The foundations for her research lie in the fields of closed-loop supply chain management. Broadly, her research employs game-theoretical models to solve the problems that exist in firms’ manufacturing and remanufacturing processes. She serves on the Editorial Review Board of IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management and is also a Guest Editor for its special issue on Resilience and Innovation in the Semiconductor Industry: Navigating Global Disruptions.

Call for Papers:
CALL FOR PAPERS for IEEE Transactions on Engineering Management, “Resilience and Innovation in the Semiconductor Industry: Navigating Global Disruptions.” This special issue aims to provide a platform for exploring the intersection of semiconductor supply chains and engineering and technological innovation under disruptions. TEM Call for Papers
We invite submissions that address the critical challenges and opportunities within the semiconductor supply chain, focusing on resilience, innovation, and strategic management in the face of global disruptions. Original work with different methodologies (e.g., empirical, analytical, qualitative, data analytics, and multi-methodological approaches) that align with the following themes are encouraged, though submissions outside of these themes but within the remit of semiconductor supply chains are also welcome:
🔵 Understanding disruptions: impacts of geopolitics, pandemics, natural disasters, facility location changes
🔵 Enhancing resilience: supply chain agility, digital technologies (IoT, blockchain)
🔵 Promoting innovation: AI, ML, digital twins, best practices
🔵 Policy implications and global collaboration: trade policies, frameworks, coordination mechanisms
