Biography
Giorgio obtained his Laurea (integrated BSc–MSc) from the Polytechnic University of Milan and an MSc from KTH Royal Institute of Technology, both in 2005. He received his PhD from the ORC at the University of Southampton in 2011, after which he was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize.
In 2012, he moved to Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore, where he contributed to the establishment of the Centre for Disruptive Photonic Technologies and was appointed Research Manager. In 2019, he was awarded the Mistletoe Research Fellowship, a program that connects researchers with frontier startups to bridge the gap between academic research and entrepreneurial communities.
