Dr Hafiz Muhammad Shakeel is a Lecturer at the University of Southampton specialising in Artificial Intelligence and Mental Health. His research focuses on interpretable and clinically applicable machine learning methods for prediction, stratification, and decision support in neurodevelopmental and psychiatric settings. His current work includes treatment and drug response prediction modelling, as well as research on explainable AI and digital triage developed in collaboration with clinical and NHS partners. He teaches across undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
