The EPE group's research interests range from nanoscale insulation materials and plasma, through to electrical power systems and sustainable energy generation.
We apply our research across areas including;
As part of the School of Electronics and Computer Science, our group is central to enterprise in the University of Southampton. We provide consultancy and commercial testing services and our main facility is the Tony Davies High Voltage Laboratory.
We've created 2 companies from the strength of our research:
Wolfson Electrostatics: one of the world's leading centres of expertise in its field. It specialises in the control of electrical and electrostatic hazards in industry.
Mars Space, which provides services and consultancy on space and plasma engineering and science.
My research revolves around how to ensure that data required for artificial intelligence and data science can be found and used appropriately.
