Netball is a popular team sport that's a great way to keep fit and agile while having fun.

Netball is a particularly popular sport at the University, and there are a variety of courts where you can play.

Our courts

Play netball whatever the weather at our indoor courts in Jubilee Sports Centre and Team Southampton Hall. We also offer outdoor courts at Wide Lane Sports Ground and Avenue Campus. 

Pitches are available to:

  • staff members
  • public members
  • pay as you go users

If you’d like to play more competitively, why not think about joining one of the Southampton University Netball Club? The club has 5 teams and welcomes players of all abilities.

Booking a session

You must book a court in advance to play.

Members can book up to 7 days in advance. If you pay as you go or have a Sports Pass you can book up to 2 days in advance.

Cancelling a session

Cancel your booking online

You can also:

Only the person who made the booking can cancel it. If you do not cancel at least 4 hours before the booking starts, we'll ask you to pay a £5.99 cancellation fee.

If you're a pay as you go user, you'll get a credit for any fees paid as long as you cancel at least 4 hours before the booking starts.

What to wear

You must wear non-marking shoes when playing on an indoor court. If you're not sure, try the non-marking shoes test.

You must wear suitable clothing while playing netball. You'll be asked to leave if you wear jeans while playing.
