Membership for alumni

To qualify for discounted alumni membership, you must first apply for an alumni campus card. To apply, please email campuscard@soton.ac.uk with the following information:

Full name
Student ID (if known)
Date of Birth
Clear passport-style photo
Your reason for applying

The Office of Development & Alumni Relations will contact you via email when your card is ready for collection and this will be from building 37/3107, Highfield Campus.

Once you have received your alumni campus card, speak to a staff member at one of our facilities to find the best membership option for you. If you have purchased your membership prior to receiving your card, report to reception to assist you with access and to link your alumni card as soon as you receive it.

Alumni Monthly Plus

Pay a £33.99 monthly payment and a £20 joining fee or a one off payment of £339 for full access to all our facilities, including:

swimming pool
TechnoGym fitness suite with over 200 fitness stations
virtual fitness classes through the global fitness company Les Mills
in-person fitness classes
premium fitness classes - 60 minute Yoga and Pilates
climbing and bouldering wall
15% discount at the Atrium cafe
8 day advance booking
recreational sport booking - including badminton, basketball, volleyball and squash
access to Mayflower and Glen Eyre gyms
Sports pass

The one off annual payment of £339 gives you 12 months membership for the price of 10 and includes 12 guest passes for your friends and family.

Alumni Personal Training Membership

Personal training membership costs £125 a month and a £20 joining fee.

This gives you the same benefits as standard monthly membership and entitles you to weekly 1-hour sessions with a personal trainer.

Ask about personal training membership at the Jubilee Sports and Recreation Centre reception.

There is limited availability for this membership and it is not available online.

A £28.99 monthly payment and a £20 joining fee provides access to:

This membership does not include access to:

recreational sport booking

Alumni pay as you go

You can use many of our sports facilities without a membership.

Pay £9.49 for each gym, swim, virtual and standard fitness class.

Pay £10.49 for recreational sport, climbing and premium classes.

Alumni Sports Pass

A one off payment of £45 for the 2024-25 academic year.

A Sports Pass is ideal if you want to train and play matches with a university club, either competitively or as a hobby.

The Sports Pass gives you access to Athletic Union training sessions and competitive matches as well as intramural matches for fun.

You must be affiliated to a specific sports club before you buy a Sports Pass at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre Reception.

Alumni Activity Pass

A one off payment of £80.49 gives you 10 all access sessions for the price of 8.

Passes expire 3 months after purchase.

Alumni Mayflower Gym Membership

You can join the Mayflower gym for £19.99 monthly and a £20 joining fee.

Ask about this membership at the Jubilee Sport and Recreation Centre or Mayflower Gym reception. This membership is not available online.
