Engineering Global Talent Scholarship

To get this scholarship you must:

• apply for an eligible University of Southampton course before you apply for the scholarship
• receive a course offer before the closing date
• have selected the University of Southampton as your firm choice
• not be in receipt of any external scholarship, more than or equal to your tuition fees
• be an international student paying the Overseas fee

Check if you will pay the Overseas fee.

To apply for this scholarship:

1. apply to study an undergraduate programme in our School of Engineering
2. Complete the scholarship interest expression form by 27 April 2026, 5pm (UK time)

You will need to provide a 500-word personal statement explaining why you should receive this scholarship.

We cannot accept late applications. If your application is successful, you will receive a confirmation email. We will contact you with the outcome of your application by the end of May 2026.

There are 3 stages to the shortlisting process. 

1. we check that you meet the eligibility criteria
2. we score your academic record and qualifications as stated on your programme/UCAS application form
3. a panel will decide who gets the scholarships, considering your supporting statement, alongside your academic achievements to date
4. we may also shortlist applicants from least developed countries, low income or lower middle-income countries
    

This is a competitive process, and not all applications will be successful.  The decision of the scholarship panel is final. We do not offer feedback on our process.
