Dr Johanna Hjalmarsson

Background

Juris kandidat (LL.M.) (Stockholm) 1995; LL.M. in Maritime Law (Soton) 2004; Cert HE: Languages, (Soton), 2008

Having served as a tingsnotarie (Junior Judge) in her native Sweden, Johanna specialised in law reform, spending several years with the United Nations International Drug Control Programme and with the Office of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina. She has been with the University of Southampton since 2004.

Johanna is the editor of Shipping and Trade Law and co-edits Lloyd's Law Reporter with Professor Rob Merkin. She is also the current editor of the IML's publication The Ratification of Maritime Conventions.
