About
I am a Health Psychologist, Behavioural Scientist and expert in developing and evaluating complex interventions. I have significant expertise in digital interventions. My research addresses questions like how do we make new healthcare interventions as accessible, feasible, motivating and effective as possible and how do we implement these interventions into existing healthcare successfully? I lead a large research portfolio (>£35million) which explores these questions within the context of prevention, for example preventing multiple long-term conditions, infections, cognitive decline and diabetic foot ulcers. My research also explores how to help people to self-manage or treat existing health conditions, such as Long COVID, hypertension, cancer, diabetes, dementia and many more conditions. I have a particular interest in Long COVID as I have lived experience of this condition.
