About
Paolo is a postdoctoral researcher in the Optical Engineering and Quantum Photonics group. He graduated from the University of Southampton in 2011 with a first-class MEng degree in Electronic Engineering with Artificial Intelligence and continued at Southampton to complete a PhD in Optoelectronics, defending his thesis "UV-Written Waveguide Circuits for Integrated Quantum Optics" in 2018.

Paolo predominantly works on UV written planar waveguide circuits and devices for quantum technologies and fundamental quantum science, including work on integrated single-photon detectors and compact narrow-linewidth grating-stabilized lasers.
