Stratos is Professor of Entrepreneurship Studies and Head of the Department of Strategy, Innovation and Entrepreneurship (DSIE).
Stratos joined the University of Southampton in 2013 (as a Lecturer), just before being awarded his PhD (University of Cambridge, 2014). He was subsequently promoted to an Associate Professor in 2016 and a Chair in 2021. In addition to a PhD, Stratos holds an MPhil in Management Research (University of Cambridge), an MA in Organisation Studies (University of Warwick), and a BSc in Economics (Aristotle University, Greece).
Stratos has been published in leading academic journals, such as Academy of Management Review, Cambridge Journal of Economics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice and Journal of Business Venturing, and sits on the Editorial Boards of Academy of Management Review and Journal of Business Venturing. In addition, Stratos has won the Dean’s Award for leadership in research as well as the Vice Chancellor’s Teaching Award.
