About

Rachele is a Principal Teaching Fellow in Southampton Education School working in the field of teacher education and development. She works to support pre-service history teachers as they learn the complex disciplinary and professional knowledge needed for a successful and rewarding career in teaching. Rachele also writes and delivers Continuing Professional Development for teachers and school leaders, supporting them to be research informed practitioners.

Having worked extensively with schools and school leaders as Director of Initial Teacher Education, Rachele is now Director of Teacher Professional Learning.  In this role, Rachele supports the development of inservice teachers at all levels of their careers through access to research informed and practice based CPD and opportunties for practitioners to collaborate with academics and researchers.

Rachele is passionate about supporting and developing teachers at all stages of their careers and strongly believes in the civic duty to support our local and national education agenda. As such, Rachele co-founded Education Research Practice Network ERPN at Southampton Education School. ERPN connects schools and researchers in a community of practice, where exchange and co-construction of knowledge shapes practice.
