Members of the SHTAC team shared their work at the conference organised to showcase research into aspects of population health.

Members of the SHTAC team gave presentations at the recent Population Health Research conference held at the University of Southampton. The day was organised to showcase research into aspects of population health from around the University, including contributions from the School of Medicine, Education, Social Sciences, Psychology, Law and Geography.

There were two presentations based on the SHTAC & EPPI-Centre project assessing the effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of behavioural interventions to prevent sexually transmitted infections in young people as published in the Health Technology Assessment monograph series. Dr Jonathan Shepherd presented the results of the systematic review of behavioural interventions, and Dr Keith Cooper presented a poster reporting the results of the economic evaluation.

Dr Geoff Frampton presented a poster entitled ‘Ambiguity of study population analysis and reporting in asthma clinical trials'.
