A definite highlight for me was the fieldtrip to Ghana we had in second year. We got the opportunity to study climate change in the less developed areas of the country and interact with locals to gain incredible insights into their way of life.

Why did you choose to come and study at Southampton?

The course was particularly appealing to me, as it focused on population studies and removed the need for physical geography study that accompanied the normal geography course.

What's it like studying here?

The flexibility of the course is excellent. I've had the opportunity to take modules in areas that I would never have expected, be this through integrating art and geography in Experimental Geography, or learning transferrable business skills in Business Skills for Employability.

What have been your Southampton highlights so far?

A definite highlight for me was the fieldtrip to Ghana we had in second year. It was a completely unique and fascinating experience with some of my best friends, and gave us an incredible insight into what life is like in a country that none of us were familiar with. We got the opportunity to study climate change in the less developed areas of the country and interact with locals to gain incredible insights into their way of life.
