Civil Engineering

Civil engineering involves the planning, design and construction of structures, systems and infrastructure that positively support the future development of our society. Civil engineers require a wide range of knowledge and skills from understanding hydraulics and soil mechanics to structural design and construction management. Our Civil Engineering courses will equip you with a sound understanding of the fundamental principles and the ability and confidence to apply them to solve practical problems.

As our courses are designed in conjunction with our Civil Engineering Industrial Advisory Board  you will be provided you with the most relevant knowledge and skills for your future career.

You can gain valuable work experience with one of our industry partners either by applying to our SUCCESS industrial scholarship scheme or by taking the Industrial Placement Year with one of our courses.

All our BEng and MEng Civil Engineering degrees are accredited by the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) and provide you with a route to Chartered Engineer status.
