GeoData’s approach is founded on a commitment to integrated, multi-disciplinary and participatory projects that emphasise the application of science and evidence-based approaches to support environmental decision-making and policy development. With a strong focus on database, web and geospatial data handling and spatial data infrastructures, GeoData promotes open data sharing and collaboration. Drawing upon academic expertise and its linkages with other leading organisations, GeoData aims to promote the application of science to management and policy, within the environmental and social sectors.
We work in close cooperation with international organisations, Government, agencies and commercial sectors both in the UK and overseas, offering an important focus on capacity building and CPD.
Through its in-house specialists, associated academics and a range of consultant specialists, backed by leading technologies and resources, GeoData offers wide-ranging, flexible, solutions-based services. A commitment to participation, consultation and negotiation underpin these approaches.
