Oluwaseun Osituyo is a PhD student at the University of Southampton. She is currently conducting research on the risk disclosure practices in the UK banking industry and is working under the supervision of Dr Oliver Marnet and Dr Ian Dawson. The scope of her research covers revealing adumbrative risk disclosures of banks in the pre and post financial crisis period of 2007 to 2009.

I decided to undertake my PhD at the University of Southampton because of the immense facilities and resources the institution provides. The university is globally recognised as one that conducts detailed and result-yielding research. The Centre for Risk Research is vested with staff who are able to provide intensive expert guidance to facilitate success research processes. I am very pleased to be part of this group.

Oluwaseun holds a BSc (First Class) in Accounting from Ajayi Crowther University, Nigeria and an MSc (Distinction) in Corporate Risk and Security Management from University of Southampton. She is a qualified chartered accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria. She also has practical work experience in various accounting roles. Her research interests include Risk management, Corporate Governance and Accounting.
