Apply for your student ID card

Once you've set up your University IT account and enrolled, you can order your student ID card. It can take up to 24 hours after setting up your IT account for the University’s other systems and services to become available to you. This includes your email, ID card service and enrolment services.

Your student ID card will give you access to facilities on campus including libraries and faculty buildings. It will be valid until the end of your studies. You should carry your ID card with you whenever you’re on campus.

What you’ll need

To apply for your ID card, you'll need to use your University IT account details and you must be enrolled.

You’ll need to upload a passport-style digital photo to your application.  If you do not upload an appropriate photo, there may be a delay to the processing and collection of your ID card. You'll also be charged £10 for a replacement ID card with a suitable photo.

Apply for your ID card using an appropriate ID photo before 10 September 2025. This will ensure your card is ready to collect by Welcome Week on Saturday 20 to Saturday 27 September 2025.
