Arrange your accommodation

You need to finalise your accommodation, or let us know if you'll be living at your home address while you study with us.

Your accommodation options

If you haven’t arranged your accommodation yet, you need to do this as soon as you can. There are several accommodation options available:

Staying in University halls of residence

If you would like to enquire about availability in the University's halls of residence, you can do this through the University's accommodation portal.

Go to the accommodation portal

You can also read our guidance on how to apply for student accommodation.

Staying in private rented accommodation

We can help you if you want to rent privately instead of living in University halls of residence.

Our guidance on renting private student accommodation has information about SASSH, the Southampton Accreditation Scheme for Student Housing. Only landlords who meet SASSH standards are allowed to list properties on the website.

Staying at your home address

We know some of you will be staying at your home address while you study with us.

Make sure that we know your term-time address is the same as your home address by checking your details are up to date in Banner, our student records system.
