Abstract:

The Institute of Risk Management (IRM) is the leading global professional body for the risk management profession. Professional bodies support the careers of their members, and also develop and promote the subject matter and the profession in general. Carolyn Williams will deliver a talk aimed at anyone considering a career in risk management. She will provide an introduction to the IRM and what it does, a view on future trends in risk management and what the IRM’s professional qualifications cover, including exemptions available to risk management students at Southampton Business School.

Speaker Biography:

Carolyn Williams is Director of Corporate Relations at the Institute for Risk Management (IRM). Her role is to reach out to organisations of all types to start conversations about risk management, about competency and professional standards and about how the Institute of Risk Management can help them achieve what they want to achieve.
