Dreamt of a career in nursing?

If you have a passion for nursing, hold a degree in any subject and meet our entry requirements, you could take advantage of our two year full-time Postgraduate Diploma. You’ll be taught in a School ranked 5th in the world for nursing (QS World University Rankings by Subject 2019) and graduate with the credentials needed to apply to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council as a qualified practitioner in the field of either Adult, Child or Mental Health nursing.

The PG Dip also represents two-thirds of a master’s degree so after successful completion of the course, it is possible to ‘top-up’ to a full MSc by undertaking a dissertation module.

What's more, if you're already a registered nurse interested in gaining registration in a second field of practice, via recognition of prior learning it's possible to complete the programme in a shortened timescale of around 20 months. Take a look at our course pages to learn more about how our PG Dip Nursing offers a springboard to a flexible and rewarding career:

The Government has now laid secondary legislation before Parliament to allow postgraduate pre-registration nursing, midwifery and allied health professions students to access student loans to cover both tuition and living costs. This aligns to the undergraduate offer already in place. Visit for more information.
