I am a Senior Teaching Fellow in the Academic Centre for International Students, part of the Faculty of Humanities at the University of Southampton.

I work closely with Southampton Business School (SBS), and other academic units. I recently developed a blended learning course ‘Academic and Professional Skills (S4B)’ for SBS postgraduates, and also ‘Undergraduate Skills for Business (USB). I teach on S4B, USB and also the ‘English for Academic Study’ programme (EAS).

Before joining the University, I taught English for Academic Purposes (EAP), and Business English in the Netherlands and Hong Kong. Prior to this, I worked in a management role (sales and marketing) in a FTSE 100 company, having been recruited on a ‘fast-track’ graduate development programme.

Research interests

Current interests include assessment, digital literacy, blended learning and internationalisation.

Previous research has focused on ethnic minority academic achievement, genre analysis and programme success analysis.

Affiliate research group(s): Modern Languages eLearning Group. Research Assessment Practices, EuroCALL 2016.
