Avenue Campus facilities
This modern building features archaeologically-inspired artworks
Our £2.8m Archaeology building has specialist bone, stone, skeleton and ceramic labs for the study of archaeological finds, as well as seminar and research rooms. Built with sustainability in mind, it uses mostly natural ventilation and underfloor heating. The glass entrance atrium features a 2.5 metre high sandstone megalith sculpture by the British artist Gary Breeze. The building also houses the UK Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies.
There is lots of green space to enjoy at Avenue Campus
You can study in Avenue Campus's own library, which includes the Humanities course collection, and a collection of 4,000 films in many modern languages for viewing on-site. If you're hungry before or after studying, try the Avenue cafe, which provides hot and cold meals and snacks. Enjoy the many areas set aside for you to study and meet friends in, including our lovely courtyard. The digital humanities room offers video editing technology. Sports fans can make the most of the two tennis courts.
