To provide a fundamental understanding of modern NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometric techniques.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

  • The development of analytical skills, including critical analysis, problem solving, communication, numeracy and the use of IT. Specifically, the students will develop an understanding of the application of modern analytical methods to their research programme.


Fundamental theory behind each technique with practical illustrations and worked examples.
