Dr Stephanie Law is a Lecturer in Law within Southampton Law school at the University of Southampton.
Since 2019, I have been a lecturer within Southampton Law School at the University of Southampton. Prior to taking up this appointment, I was a Senior Research Fellow at the Max Planck Institute Luxembourg for Procedural Law, and lectured at both Luxembourgish and German universities. I initially studied law at the University of Glasgow (LL.B., First Class, 2009) and the University of Edinburgh (LL.M., Distinction, 2010) and I completed my Ph.D. at the European University Institute in Florence (2014). Prior to joining the MPI, I was a postdoctoral research fellow in the Faculty of Law at McGill University, Montréal, a position for which I received funding from The Leverhulme Trust. During the course of my doctoral research, I was a visiting scholar at Columbia Law School and a stagiaire in the Cabinet of Judge Christopher Vajda at the Court of Justice of the European Union.
