About

PK Senyo is an Associate Professor in FinTech and Information Systems within the Department of Decision Analytics and Risk. PK has a strong interest in applied and impactful research.

His research focuses on how the use and adaptation of new digital technologies impact individuals, organisations, and society. His current research interests include financial technologies (FinTech), Financial Inclusion, Platform Ecosystems, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, ICT for Development (ICT4D), and Digital Innovation.

PK's research has been published in leading journals such as Information Systems Journal (ABS 4*), European Journal of Information Systems (ABS 4*), Technovation (ABS 3*), Technological Forecasting & Social Change (ABS 3*), Information Technology & People (ABS 3*), Government Information Quarterly (ABS 3*), and the International Journal of Production Research (ABS 3*) among others as well as prestigious conferences such as Academy of ManagementInternational Conference on Information Systems, and the European Conference on Information Systems. PK also serves as Associate Editor for the European Journal of Information Systems, Senior Editor for Information Technology & People as well as Associate Editor and track co-chair for international conferences.

He has obtained over £900,000 in research income from councils such as Innovate UK, ESRC, and through consultancy for private and public sector organisations. PK regularly consults and provides expert advice on digital technology projects for national and international organisations. He has previously worked with organisations such as the UK's Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy (BEIS), the World Bank, and International Telecommunication Union (ITU) among others.
