Ethnographic researcher of dugout canoes and other contemporary vernacular watercraft.

Research interests

My PhD research focuses on the use of dugout canoes by Indigenous people in Guyana, investigating embodied relationships between users and boats and the phenomenology of living, working, and travelling in a swamp environment.
