Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships

IMPORTANT: Applications for Commonwealth Distant Learning Scholarships are currently closed for 2022 entry. The information below is relevant to 2022 entrants and is for information only. Applications for candidates wishing to start their studies in September/October 2023 are expected to open in February 2023.

These scholarships are offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission and funded by the Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO).

They are for students from certain developing Commonwealth countries who want to study for a master’s degree online from their home country.

We’re offering 10 of these scholarships for students starting their studies in 2022.

This scholarship is for postgraduate master’s study.

Candidates should apply to BOTH the Commonwealth Scholarships Commission via Electronic Application System (EAS) and to the University of Southampton via Postgraduate applications.

When is the deadline for applications?

Applications for Commonwealth Distance Learning Scholarships are now open and close 15 March 2022 18:00 (GMT). Your application must include all supporting documentation by 17:00 (BST) on 5 April 2022.
