• use inclusive, ethical and sustainable practices to design and evaluate an assessment output evidencing project management techniques and research methods

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• demonstrate a collaborative approach to the design, completion and evaluation of a project with a partner and the integration of arts and cultural sector leadership theory and practice

Transferable and Generic Skills

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:

• design and create an assessment output that demonstrates creative problem-solving and effective communication techniques

This module will focus on the design, undertaking and evaluation of a live project with a project partner. The module will employ a sequence of stages using project management techniques to facilitate this:

• The first stage focuses on partner engagement and co-designing the project brief.
• The second stage focuses on direct and sustained engagement with the project partner as you undertake the project.
• The third stage focuses on evaluating and sharing the project outputs.

Projects might include: literature, case study and policy review; researching funding opportunities; horizon scanning new organisational opportunities; audience and market research and evaluation; supporting, reviewing and developing events and activities.

The projects enable opportunities for you to develop specific project leadership skills and to reflect on leadership styles and approaches with your partner organisation.

Issues of sustainability, equity and belonging, and social justice are embedded throughout the exploration of these topics. Likewise, the critical analysis and applied practice of arts and cultural ethical leadership is integrated across the whole programme and connected to each of these topics.

Your examination of these topics will be aligned with the focus in semester 1 on current ideas and debates, engaging with external partners and employing relevant resources and skills and the Final Project module in which you will undertake an independent project.
