Module overview
This module prepares students to undertake an independent research project as part of their final undergraduate year. In the first half of the module students are introduced to the literature review process and how to marshal library materials and formulate a research question. Students then choose a specific research interest, aligned with research interests of academics within the School of Geography and Environmental Science. Alongside an assigned supervisor, students will plan a research proposal, including risk and ethics assessment techniques.
