Module overview

The purpose of the module is to develop students’ ability to undertake research in human geography by building on what they have learnt related to methods and research design in Geog2008 and practice-based learning on a fieldtrip and associated lectures, practicals and tutorial teaching.

The module will give them practical experience of carrying out research to ensure they have practical research experiences that ready them for Geog 3018 - the Undergraduate dissertation. Through the practical experience of undertaking group research project as part of a fieldcourse, a range of research skills including design, methodology and data analysis will be learnt.
