- the purpose of the Year Abroad Research Project
- generic research skills such as using resources, managing more sustained research projects
- the methodological tools you need to complete it

- cope with the demands of cultural differences
- plan, carry out and research in the medium of a foreign language
Syllabus
In this module you will be made familiar, both in a theoretical and practical way, with all aspects concerning your Year Abroad Research Project. This will include advice on living in and engaging with foreign cultures, briefing on the range of topics for the research project and explanation of the different research methods and relevant resources. You will be made aware of the importance of time management for your work and you will be given advice on how to do this successfully.
