Module overview
This is a core module for attendance across the academic year and is required for students to complete the NMC part. It will include simulated practice opportunities across the academic year and NMC part, to allow students to consolidate their learning from the year's theory and practice modules. This module will also involve working with a tutor and tutor group, working towards becoming a reflective practitioner. In addition, this module will also involve students attending the required skills sessions for this part of the programme, as well as successfully passing a drug calculations test. This module does not contribute to classification but will result in a record of ‘achieved’ or ‘not achieved’. Students must pass this module to progress into the next part of this programme. All skills achieved need to be maintained throughout the rest of the programme. In addition, to pass this module, students need to have completed enough clinical hours (i.e. within 150 hours of timetabled placement hours, for students on this part of the programme) and have achieved completion of part one in the EPAD OAR. to be able to move into the next part of the programme.
