The module aims to prepare dual-field nursing students to teach others in clinical practice as per the NMC Standards of Education and the Code that qualified nurses must teach and support student nurses once qualified.

Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Critically reflect on your ability to support learning in others to enhance the provision of holistic care to the people in their care
- Critically assess the core skills, proficiencies and knowledge of dual field nurses
- Demonstrate your ability to synthesise the knowledge and skills gained in two fields of practice

Teaching and learning methods
You will attend lectures and seminars to support you in developing and delivering a teaching package during your penultimate placement. The module lead will provide additional support through Q&A drop-ins and resources for seminars and learning group discussions. The module will include two seminars which focus on (1) identifying learning needs in practice and formulating learning outcomes; (2) a formative assessment to help you in developing your teaching package.
