Having successfully completed this module, you will be able to demonstrate knowledge and understanding of:
- The link between health, occupation and wellbeing and the impact of illness or disability on an individual's occupational performance.
- What is understood by being an 'occupational being' and the broader context of occupational therapy
Subject Specific Practical Skills
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Describe a range of occupational needs at individual, group and community levels.
- Explain the role of occupational therapy in aiding people to maximise their occupational performance.
Transferable and Generic Skills
Having successfully completed this module you will be able to:
- Use a reflective model to analyse your interactions with others, and how this influences your behaviour, including allyship and implicit bias.
- Demonstrate awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of others, through both reflection and recognising the components of a positive, therapeutic and working environment.
