With the help of ESRC impact funds we explored whether and how we could revive these quality resources and explore how we could transform SMP into an SMP 2.0.
In the project we archived and digitised key parts of the archive. We also mapped large parts of the archive against the curriculum. Finally, we also collected views on the materials and disseminated them. The materials have been accessed for a variety of reasons, ranging from professional development and subject knowledge enhancement to support for mathematics home-schooling during the pandemic. The project is collaboration between the Southampton Education School, three schools in the region, and the Mathematics department, but now dissemination continues with substantial engagement with the community. For the materials see SMP2 to register.
