Charlotte is a Postgraduate Research Student in Economic Geography within Geography and Environmental Science at the University of Southampton.

Following on from her undergraduate in BA Geography and MSc in Social Research Methods at Southampton, Charlotte’s ESRC funded PhD research is focusing on studying knowledge flows within trans-local cultural scenes in various international urban contexts.

Charlotte is also interested in studying the wider Creative Economy, and is currently contributing toward an AHRC funded project on Creative Economies within the African context, as well as demonstrating on the undergraduate courses GEOG1004 ‘A Global World’, GEOG2008 'Researching Human Geography’, GEOG2036 ‘Cultural Geography’, GEOG3003 Berlin Fieldcourse: Politics and Urban Space’ and GEOG3063: ’The Creative Economy’.

Charlotte is interested in knowledge flows within trans-local cultural scenes in urban contexts as well as the broader creative economy.
