A study looking at the day-to-day needs and experiences on 11 children from 10 families using a children's hospice.

Overview

How do families face the dilemma of how/whether to be open about the child's life limiting condition?

What is the impact of having a life limiting illness on the child's sense of self?

What are the challenges and opportunities for improving support?

Methodology

Interviews, participant observation and encouraging the children to represent themselves through various media e.g. drawings and/or photographs.
