Gill Kirkup is a Research Nurse for the ATHENA Trial: Amitriptyline for the prevention of post-herpetic Neuralgia, in Primary Care, Population Sciences and Medical Education School, Faculty of Medicine, University of Southampton.

Gill completed her Nurse training at University Hospital Southampton (UHS) in 1994. Initially worked on the Wessex Cardiothoracic Unit UHS, 1994-2000. Since 2004, she has worked in Primary Care, as a Community Nurse and then a Practice Nurse/Research lead for a sessional practice from 2011. She has been involved in a variety of Research studies and share an enthusiastic approach with the team.
