Ms Laura-May Leaf is a Teaching Fellow in French Language in Modern Languages and Linguistics at the University of Southampton.

I studied French and Spanish at the University of Southampton which involved working as a language assistant with the British Council. I chose to do my Masters in Conference Interpreting and Translation Studies (working from French and Spanish) at the University of Leeds as it fostered two areas which were, and continue to be, of particular interest to me: translation and interpreting. I have been teaching here since 2012.

I teach French language Stages 4-7 and coordinate French language Stage 5. I also teach on the final year content modules Translation Theory and Practice and Public Service Interpreting. I am module coordinator for the latter of these two.
