In the year of 2014, I was employed at Umm Al-Qura University, working at its branch in the southern of Saudi Arabia, Al-Qunfudah University College. I have taught English Language to first and second year undergraduate students for a year and a half. After that, I received a scholarship to do my postgraduate studies at the University of Southampton. I have finished my Masters in 2017 and currently undertaking PhD studies at the same university in the area of critical thinking and postgraduate academic writing in the field of Applied Linguistics under the supervision of Dr Karin Zotzmann and Dr Robert Baird.

Research interests

I am currently doing my research on postgraduate academic writing using Legitimation Code Theory Semantics.

I have worked as a Teaching Assistant at Al-Qunfudah University College for a year and a half, during which I taught English Language related modules for first and second year undergraduate students at the Department of English Language.
