Miss Ellen Louise White MSci

I am currently researching soundscapes in the ocean, focusing on detecting marine mammal sound in real-time from autonomous vehicles.
I studied an MSci at the University of Southampton in Marine Biology with Oceanography. My final project focused on identifying social dynamics and the role of communication in pods of Tursiop truncatus (Bottlenose dolphins) through Passive Acoustic Monitoring.
During my studies I attended multiple field internships including Whale Lab, University of Victoria and The Seawatch Foundation (Cardigan Bay, Wales).
After Graduating I worked for a year in marine mammal rescue before returning to academia.
