Nora is a postgraduate research student working on climate change effects on kelp forest ecology at the Marine Biological Association in Plymouth (Dan Smale’s group: Benthic Ecosystems and Environmental Change). Her project is part of the INSPIRE DTP with the University of Southampton and the National Oceanography Centre.

In 2018 she graduated from the University of Rostock in Marine Biology (MSc) after completing Biological Science (BSc) in 2015. Her master thesis focused on effects of ocean warming on grazer-algae interactions as part of the GAME project (collaboration with the GEOMAR Helmholtz Centre for Ocean Research Kiel, Germany, and the Universidad Católica del Norte in Coquimbo, Chile).

She has experience from several sea-going scientific expeditions as well as working experience in Chile, Canada and New Zealand.
