Now formally retired from his post as Professor of Purchasing and Supply, he retains a Lead Academic role in the Massively Open Online Course (MOOC) on Contract Management for which he was one of the creators along with World Commerce and Contracting (the leading global professional body in world) and the UK Cabinet Office.

Biography
Douglas has taught Master’s level courses in Scotland, France, Switzerland and USA in Operations Management and Supply Chain Management. He also founded (but is no longer active in), a consultancy company (SCMG Ltd) which still works in the Supply Chain Management field. Has had a variety of research grants and consultancy projects in varied business sectors.
