Research interests

  • Lindsay’s research and enterprise programme is divided into three workstreams:
  • Workstream 1: COPD and social support – Development of new knowledge and clinical tools to direct safe and effective social support for people with COPD
  • Work Stream 2: Digital inclusion/ exclusion of people with long-term conditions. Consideration of widening health inequalities through the systematic digital exclusion of people with COPD addressing the inequalities in long term respiratory disease; digital exclusion and digital disadvantage.

Dr. Lindsay Welch is a postdoctoral researcher and lecturer in Health Sciences at the Unversity of Southampton. 

Lindsay's research, education, and enterprise activity are all centred around understanding and improving digital technology for people with long-term respiratory conditions. Aligned to the NIHR Wessex Arc Long-Term Conditions research theme.
