How does it feel to witness sudden, unexpected, traumatic, often horrifying death, two or three times a week? How can someone deal with the loss of a life, they've tried so hard to save? How does personal values and morality impacts this experience? Emergency Department is a place to save lives, not to die. Yet, staff is exposed to it almost every day. Laszlo's research, Understanding staff experiences of death in the Emergency Department, will help clinical staff to be better prepared, and better cope with these complex experiences.
