About
Dr Jennifer Gaskell is an experienced researcher, facilitator and expert communicator. She holds an interdisciplinary PhD in Web Science from the University of Southampton. Beside traditional research methods, her focus has been on participatory and mixed methods design and analysis for civic engagement, trust building and peacebuilding. She has field experience globally in terms of political trust, and in Cyprus, Burundi and the Somali region on the uses of new ICTs for social cohesion and peace. She has co-organized the Build Peace conferences 2014-2016 and co-founded Build Up, a social enterprise working at the intersection of technology, civic engagement and peacebuilding.

Biography
Dr Jenniger Gaskell is a Senior Research Fellow on the TrustGov project (trustgov.net) where she leads the qualitative part of the project. She has designed and run over 60 focus groups in 8 different countries on the topic of political trust. Before joining the project, she worked as a Research Fellow on the H2020 Data Pitch project, while completing an interdisciplinary PhD in Web Science at the University of Southampton.
Her doctoral research was on the uses of ICTs for peacebuilding (peacetech), and during her studies, she co-organised the Build Peace Conference on technology and peace, and co-founded Build Up, a social enterprise operating at the intersection of civic engagement, technology, and peace.
