Jinghan is a doctoral researcher at the Centre of Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance (CRAAG), Southampton Business School.
He is conducting research across three disciplines, including accounting, finance and psychology.
His research currently focuses on model building that links the narcissistic personality traits of the AC members, including the chair, to firm's non-IFRS earnings disclosure.
Jinghan's recent research paper examines how the personal narcissism of the AC chair shapes the quality of firm's non-IFRS earnings disclosure and how the relationship between AC chair narcissism and non-IFRS disclosure quality is affected by other observable characteristics of the chair, such as gender and outside directorships.
During 27 June to 31 July 2022, Jinghan worked with Prof. Teerooven Soobaroyen as a research assistant and attended the Symposium on Governance and Accountability in UK HEIs at the University of Essex.
Currently, Jinghan serves as a student advisor at the Faculty International Office for BSc and MSc students from partnership universities in China and India.
