Jinghan is a doctoral student at the Centre for Research in Accounting, Accountability and Governance (CRAAG), Southampton Business School.
He has been conducting research in accounting, finance and management, adopting positivism and quantitative methods.
His research currently focuses on examining the effects of audit committee members' personality traits, particularly the narcissism of the AC chair, on the quality of firm's voluntary earnings disclosure.
Jinghan's recent research paper investigates how the personal narcissism of the AC chair shapes the quality of firm's non-International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) earnings disclosure and how the relationship between AC chair narcissism and non-IFRS disclosure quality is affected by other observable characteristics of the chair, such as tenure and external affiliations.

During 27 June to 31 July 2022, Jinghan worked with Prof. Teerooven Soobaroyen as a research assistant and attended the Symposium on Governance and Accountability in UK HEIs at the University of Essex.
In the academic year of 2021/22, Jinghan served as a student advisor at the Faculty International Office for BSc and MSc students from partnership universities in China and India.
He is now a PGR data analysis tutor, guiding students to write graduation thesis.
