Biography
I am a post-doctoral researcher with a passion for Health Psychology, and I am particularly interested in understanding the experiences of young people with severe and/or chronic physical conditions. My work is centred in adolescent health, extending through paediatrics and young adulthood. I work on a range of qualitative and mixed methods, multidisciplinary, research projects, which are used to inform intervention development and service improvement across various conditions (e.g., cancer). My PhD research focused on adolescents and young adults with chronic pain.
I believe that Health Psychology can make the biggest difference in the most emotionally challenging corners of medicine. Working with multidisciplinary experts and capturing the lived experiences of patients, and their families, is central to my work.
